Hi, I've been having symptoms of anemia since 2018ish but have never really thought it was something wrong with me rather than lifestyle. I went to the doctors August 2022 had a blood test ,definitely anemic, they are no help at all so I researched myself I have 2 ferrous sulphate tablets each day and I'm still involuntarily falling asleep and feeling weak should I take more or should I look at other medications?

I got a weird situation. So my nails turn blue, for no reason they just do. My oxygen is good I have it checked everytime I go to the doctor. My legs and arms will also turn blue sometimes. On the occasion I will get cold, but only sometimes. Does anybody know why this is happening? Or have an educated guess? 🤔
Ok so I am currently working on getting off my meds so I take one every other day instead of taking one everyday. But I also have an iron deficiency and I forget to take my iron everyday. What can I do to remember??
Simply, iron pills make me uncomfortable. They make it a little difficult and slightly painful to poop (probably because I have some inflared bowel problems, specifically Crohn's Disease). Is there any other way or certain foods that can get iron into my system?
I just found out my iron levels are really low. My doctor recommends an iron supplement. Between my multi vitamin and my prenatal vitamin, I'm already consuming 200% of the daily recommended amount, before factoring in my diet. Is anyone else iron deficient despite consuming a lot of iron?

I was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia last November but haven't really improved much. I am taking a daily supplement. My blood work last March showed anemia also but my doctor didn't say anything and I didn't notice it myself. So, it's been going on for awhile. I'm out of breath from the littlest things and have gained wait. I guess I'm looking for support, suggestions, and other experiences. Thank you 😺
I’ve noticed recently that I’m experiencing a lot of fatigue. I struggle with basic day activities, especially running. When I stand up after sitting or laying down I feel dizzy, and nauseous. Does anyone have any tips on how to reduce this?
For those who experience paleness as a person with iron deficiency anemia, is it really unnecessary to get something like tanning lotion to get more color? I noticed how pale was in a picture with me and my boyfriend at our date night on our one year anniversary. Like as pale as a ghost or a vampire
how can you get your iron levels up without the pills? how can I start iron diet only?
I can’t afford to get blood transfusions to increase my iron, and iron pills don’t work for me, what should I do?
Hi there! To preface, this is not a conscious eating disorder. I wish I could eat right now. I’ve been losing a ton a weight, and my appetite has been unstable since June. I’ve lost weight then gained it back in between now & then, but this time, it’s not coming back & I keep losing it. I can eat a good couple bites of something but then get “full”. I never have an appetite, and I can’t make myself eat or I’ll get sick. I’m so hungry and I just don’t know what to do. Is this related or another issue?
