Does anyone use a CPAP and have overnight contact lenses? I started using a CPAP a few days ago, and my overnight contacts seem to not be working as well when I use the CPAP? I keep waking up with really blurry vision.

I just had a heart monitor and found that my heart rate dramatically slows and I have an arrhythmia at night. She thinks it’s sleep apnea and ordered a home sleep study. What are your experiences with home sleep studies? I’m also terrified of needing a CPAP, it sounds silly but I’m only 22 and already have a million health problems and really don’t want one more thing that will make me weird. Can anyone share any CPAP or sleep study experiences?

I have sleep apnea, but I also have at least moderate anxiety. I want to address that, but I’m kind of worried. I know that the CPAP and the equipment for the sleep test aren’t exactly the same, but wearing the sleep test equipment made me feel super anxious. It definitely didn’t help with falling asleep or the process of waking up. Did anyone have this worry before getting a CPAP? If so, what was your experience after using one? Also, do you know of any alternative, especially alternatives that are either low in cost or 10 to be covered by insurance? For what it’s worth, I have tried a nighttime mouth appliance (pretty much a mouthguard) for several months. It hasn’t made things better, but it also hasn’t made things worse. I really do want to do some thing about my sleep apnea because having literally any more energy than I do have regularly would be amazing, but I’m afraid that a CPAP would trigger my anxiety a ton.

I need to be retested for sleep apnea because it's been 10 years at least since I was initially told I had it. I see there are at home tests available what are your thoughts on them? pros? cons?

I wake up from my sleep not able to breath. It feels like I won’t catch my breath, but I do after a second. I think I may have allergies too. I have a dog and tested slightly allergic. I started getting this when I was under a lot of stress. My doctors want to do a sleep study. I haven’t done it yet. Anyone I don’t understand why I need to do that if my symptoms described would point to sleep apnea. Any thoughts and do people get similar symptom? Also I wouldn’t want to use CPEP. Anyone not use it and have anything natural that helps cure it?
