I need to be retested for sleep apnea because it's been 10 years at least since I was initially told I had it. I see there are at home tests available what are your thoughts on them? pros? cons?

They do home tests and they are actually better for me because I sleep well in my own bed but don’t sleep much at the sleep clinic(even if I take a pillow or blanket of mine).

I was diagnosed with an at home test that my sleep Dr ordered. The first test was "inconclusive" so they wanted to do an in person one but then COVID started. The second test produced exactly the same results so they took it as confirmation of the first one. They told me the in person ones are a lot more accurate though so if possible, I suggest that.

I did one through Lofta.com. It's called watchpat

I’ve been reading the comments, and agree. I had an at home one that was pointless because then I had to have a second one in the clinic in person. Might save some time just going for the in person.

The home tests are not that effective. They are not accurate and you ussually have to go to the in person one for confirmation.

My insurance makes you do an at home test before you can go in for the sleep study. I found it pretty useless and my doctor told me unless you have severe sleep apnea it will not diagnose anything. So you will have to go to your hospital anyway. I personally would have skipped the at home if my Insurance hadn't required it.
