Has anyone else experienced side effects from CPAP machine?

I was diagnosed last year with sleep apnea. I was prescribed a CPAP machine and started enjoying THE BEST sleep of my adult life. Unfortunately, I noticed that my legs (left mostly) and feet were becoming swollen. Stopped using machine, legs returned to normal. Tried is again and it happened all over. Doctor's have no answer. Has anyone else had this "side effects"?

I also have had swelling in my legs. I wear compression socks but I got the most relief when I started elevating my legs at night using a foam wedge at the foot of the bed.
