How do I get a new doctor to test me for PCOS without ruling out anything that they could consider as well? So stressed just thinking about seeing a gp tomorrow. I'm not going on birth control, so I don't even know what they'll suggest

What's the best way to deal with PCOS symptoms and period pains in the summer months especially when going to visit your partner's family who live in a different part of the country to you and you can only travel by train? I am going to be taking plenty of underwear and pads (I can't use tampons as my periods can very from being barely worth calling it a period to flooding everywhere... I hate when I flood as I refuse to go out. I'm just hoping that my current one disappears before we go away on the 7th of next month.

hey all! I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. I'd go months between periods, painful and heavy when they came, my blood work showed my hormones were all over the place and i started growing hair on my neck 😬 I also have PTSD which I was diagnosed after a traumatic event last year. I feel exhausted all the time, loss of executive function and some days I'm just emotionally and physically exhausted. I don't know how much of that is PTSD or how much it's PCOS. I'd love to hear what other people's experiences with PCOS have been. how does it affect your motivation and energy?? also has anyone found any treatments that are not the pill? I want to get on top of my PCOS but don't even know where to start 🤯

I have PCOS and I've had it for a long time. I know so much about the syndrome and what to do to get healthy, but I'm stuck in a sort of limbo. I lack motivation and follow through to make myself do what I need to do. Does anyone else feel this way? What did you do to get past it? I really want to have a baby but that isn't motivating me at the moment because if I go to all this effort to TTC and then still can't, I don't think I'd cope...

basically I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and PCOM (cysts on the ovaries). After years of suffering with really bad periods and them being so painful, pain during and after sex etc. and would just like some advice and stories of women who have the same thing and how they cope and what they find helps them with this. I'm currently on tramadol and ibuprofen for pain relief and constantly using hot water bottles which doesn't seem to help.

Has anyone had a surgery where they cauterize or burn the entire surface of the ovaries? I have growths on my ovaries from endometriosis and my doctor wants to go in and burn all the endo they see and both of my ovaries so nothing more can grow on them. She also said this would help with my PCOS. I can’t tolerate any of the endo meds so I know I’ll be having surgery every 1-3 years but wondered if this was all that different from excision because that’s the only thing I ever hear about. I believe they cauterize the area after anyways so this seems like a good idea but had never heard of it before. I trust my doctor but there’s so much contradictory information and misinformation.
