I'm taking metformin for 10 years and I'm okay.

I'm on metformin and it's been great for me! The other best thing for me is finding the right broth control to pair it with. I just got an IUD a week ago so we'll see how it works out

I started it a few years ago. You might want to look into getting extended release if you didn't already get prescribed that. When I started taking it it wasn't ER and I couldn't tolerate it. It gave me tummy trouble no matter what I did. Once I switched to ER no problems and it really helps me. I've been able to drop almost 30 pounds from my heaviest and before I got on BC I had a pretty regular cycle. I wish you the best of luck with your new medicine.
