not getting enough good quality sleep. not wanting to get up when I do wake up. usually turn over and go back to sleep.
Anyone else have such a strange sleep cycle it's hard to put yourself in a box to talk about it with health professionals? (curious abt others recent schedules) For me it's been rotating in what I can only equate to the lunar cycle, the faces of the moon changing. its like it's spinning around the days when I'm asleep and when I'm not. New & full moons being normal & nocturnal sleep schedules, I'm just shining more and more each day, never falling asleep or waking up at the same time. Definitely one of my stranger "schedules"
I have insomnia check! Anyone else?
It's getting worse and worse every day now, in the last two day I've barely gotten 8 hours of sleep. When my fiance wakes up for work at 8am and I went to bed at like 5am or 6am, I'm up again and can't go back to sleep. I've tried so much to try and ease my insomnia, but nothing is working. Unless I take my two different pain medications, then sure, I'll sleep, but I won't wake up, I need to wake up to manage my daughter's feeds and physical therapy.
i just got home from vacation today around 8 and was tired when i got home and now i can't sleep. i went to check the mail to get my spinning ring so i have something to mess with when out and about around alot of people. but i have slept in my bed(sorta) all week expect yesterday and now i can't sleep. and my room is a mess and idk what to do bc i wanna clean it but have no motivation to clean it.
i wish i was able to sleep. im tired but can't fall asleep. and ik if i do i will be up later on a bunch throughout the night. any suggestions on ways to fall asleep? besides meds.
I have several anxiety before going to sleep . I somehow manage to convince myself I'm dying of a heart attack or having a stroke. or I'll become paranoid that something is in the room with me. I can't get any sleep with this. It's hard to explain to doctors becuase it doesn't happen during a sleep study, only when I'm sleeping at home or alone.
Hi. I’m finally doing an in lab sleep test after I have been trouble sleeping for three years. I’ve tried many drugs and nothing really helps. I know I snore. Has anyone else ended up having sleep apnea after thinking you had insomnia. I’d love to know your experiences.
I am curious about other sleep alternatives because I cannot get my meds nor do I feel comfortable about cannsbis (I have had a couple bad experiences so I tend to stray away from cannabis). I have tried Unisom Sleep Tablets, Melatonin, and others but they never seem to help me sleep through the night and stay asleep...along with staying still. Last few days have been horrible since I've been waking myself up from thrashing around in my bed.
what are the best herbal remedies for midnight insomnia ?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this platform and figured it might help with some of the conditions I'm dealing with. For example, it's 4:15am and I have yet to sleep so far. I've taken my sleep meds (trazadone and amitriptyline), and followed the usual suggestions like having a dark, cool room, with no caffeine, chocolate, TV, etc. So the fact that even with all that I'm still only sleeping about 3-4 days per week at most can be frustrating. I've had 4 outpatient sleep studies, but were all inconclusive and I'm not covered for an inpatient study. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd be so appreciative! Even if someone has any ideas about what my diagnosis would be. Finally, I wanted to ask if anyone has been to sleep therapist and what was the experience like? Thank you for reading and listening to me and I can't wait to hear back from you!
What's your effective bedtime routine? I haven't slept in a week lol
Can I go to a walk in clinic to receive medication for my insomnia ? Every night only getting 3-4 hours and it’s driving me insane and if I’m too tired during the day I’ll nap and sometimes I can stay a sleep most of time I can’t and really try not to take naps :( idk what to do and don’t see sleep doctor til august …
Can my anxiety be causing my insomnia? Has anyone had any luck with medications or natural remedies that have helped with both?
Wondering about other peoples experiences with insomnia drugs as a solution. At first my doctor prescribed trazodone, but it caused my sinuses to seize up, so I couldn’t breathe, so I couldn’t sleep. Then I tried amitriptyline; which did zero for my sleep, but improved my mood, so I stayed on it. Then I tried ambien, which didn’t help my sleep, I still woke up multiple times, and I was angry the next day. Now I’m trying doxepin, and so far, not much improvement in staying asleep all night. Has anyone else had so much trouble finding the “right” drug or am I just hopeless.
Does anyone have any suggestions for meds or natural remedies for sleep? I am very sensitive to different medications and easily get side effects. Ive tried trazodone but experienced severe headaches in the morning after waking up. The only thing that somewhat helps me is melatonin or marijuana.
