ladies with hypothyroidism how long do your periods last? lately mine have been over twenty days.
how many hypothyroidism people were born with it? I was but wasn't diagnosed until I was almost seven.
Diagnosed with hypothyroidism about year ago and for the last six months had issues with acne. 37 and never had a problem with skin before. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Also have coeliacs so not sure if this could be the reason. Thank you.
Lately, I’ve been having cold feet and somewhat numbness in them. Has anybody else had this with your pulmonary hypertension?
So, I'm a little confused about Hashimotos disease for real, the way I perceived it was that it eventually led to hypothyroidism. So then I am wondering, is Hashimotos a separate disease and if so what exactly is it and how is it different from hypothyroidism. I guess I'm also just in general wondering what Hashimotos even means.
I've been on 75mg of levothyroxine for 10 days now was on 50mg before (3 years ish) the fatigue is so bad every morning I wake up exhausted whether I have had 7hrs or even 9/10hrs sleep but also been suffering with insomnia too. how long does it take for a new dose to adjust levels? can't keep feeling like this :(
hey y'all, newly diagnosed, struggling with medications. When I started taking levothyroxine I had hives and severe stomach pain, then when they put me on the name brand I started having bouts of vertigo. Endo says it's not the meds but who just randomly gets hives and vertigo?? idk, I've stopped taking either to see if the vertigo goes away.

I know that this is probably just me in my head but I feel like my medical illnesses that seem worse and I'm here like what about me I'm also living with conditions that I'm living with for the rest of my life I'm going to be on medications for the rest of my life. I guess I just want them validated and for the first time since I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid someone gave me sympathy which I didn't know I needed.
does anyone else here eat all day long, like bites here and there, until dinner (we calling it eating like a bird) how do you take your thyroid meds when you eat like this? I know we aren't supposed to eat a certain amount of time before and after the meds, and that they are best taken in the morning, so I'm just wondering how to take them when I have to eat throughout the day or I get hangry. TIA......asked my endo 2 years ago with no help.
Hey everybody… I have PCOS but also binge eating disorder/ disordered eating and I’m trying to find a way to healthfully loose weight. I’m thinking of Noom. Has anyone tried it?
Hello, I've very recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am still experiencing a fair few symptoms whilst we figure out the correct med dosage. I also suspect I have undiagnosed ADHD (my sister has been diagnosed with it & the more research I do on it, the more it explains how olive my life/view the world). I am finding it difficult to keep on top of everything, especially as I also have 2 young children. Hoping the thyroid medication will help me feel a bit more like my old self so I can get on with life a bit.
Has anyone been successful in losing weight with hypothyroidism ? I am doing intermittent fasting, but seeing extremely low rate of weight loss and feel like demotivated. Please suggest supplements for thyroid and boosting metabolism, and tips for weight loss 🙁
How to live a healthy lifestyle with a thyroid condition?
I'm not sure whether the thyroid issue or my depression make it harder to cook at home or clean up. I get off work and finish running all my errands and taking care of my family and I'm exhausted, but know I need to eat, but then also don't have the oomph to clean my kitchen from the night before. which then makes it hard to cook again cause it's so exhausting. I'm trying to eat healthier, but it's a vicious circle of exhaustion. does anyone else deal with this and how do you handle it?
Lately I have been dealing with major anxiety and depression, I’m hoping to hear back from an endocrinologist later today so I can make an appointment that will help me to figure out if my thyroid medication needs to be stronger and if it’s the reason for my anxiety and depression to be all crazy right now. If it’s not my thyroid, hopefully I can figure out what it is that’s causing these issues.
Hey there all, I live in Georgia and fall weather has finally arrived. with the change in temperature I have been miserably cold. I have always been more hyperthyroidism than hypothyroidism but here lately my levels are leaning towards hypo. my body temperature is 95 - 96 on average and it feels like I have the flu. Anyone have any tips tricks or suggestions on how to combat this issue? Anything helps!!
