Has anyone been successful in losing weight with hypothyroidism ? I am doing intermittent fasting, but seeing extremely low rate of weight loss and feel like demotivated. Please suggest supplements for thyroid and boosting metabolism, and tips for weight loss 🙁

Hi. I feel like my comment won't help much. I feel like my case is strange and lucky. I've always had a slow metabolism. I did and for the most part still intermittent fast. It was never on purpose. I've done it since 3rd grade. I was just never a fan of breakfast. I stopped in 7th grade when my mom forced me to eat breakfast. Now I don't eat breakfast because I sleep in a lot. I'm sure intermittent fasting has messed up my metabolism more. I would recommend eating smaller more frequent meals or intuitive eating. Levothyroxine did most of the work in the beginning. Intuitive eating is what helped me after. Along with muscle focused exercises. This can help boost metabolism. I'm interested in the other methods suggested.

The brand is called "Nutri" wild crafted sea moss with bladderwrack and burdock plus bioperine. It's a little teal bottle with 60 capsules. 2 per day. It was like 30 bucks. The spirulina was generic GNC superfood supplement. It was a white bottle with a green cap. It includes 100 capsules. I took 2 spirulina capsules a day as well but the bottle says you can take up to 9 per day. When you take this, I believe it's best to stop taking any other thyroid medication because seamoss is very potent. If taken too much for an extended period of time, it could cause your thyroid to go into overdrive essentially causing HYPERthyroidism. It sounds great considering you can lose a lot of weight with hyper but it's harder to cure hyper afterwards so be careful. Once your blood work is good, only take it moderately or every few days or not at all if your thyroid is fully regulated. I have seen results with the capsules but any other form works great also. Capsules are just more convenient for me personally. Some people take seamoss gel with a beverage like juice or just in plain water which works but the capsules have the dosing work done for you. If you try it out, let me know if it worked for you. You may not begin to lose weight immediately but it will show in your blood work if it is boosting your thyroid. Don't lose hope 🌼 hypothyroidism is absolutely curable 😁

@Rin_Tepes_Dracul interesting suggestions! From what I read, iodine deficiency is one of the most uncommon causes of hypothyroidism. Most common cause of hypothyroidism is actually Hoshimotos an autoimmune condition! I am so glad these supplements have worked for you! I think we should be careful when saying anything is curable especially when we can’t possible know the cause of each case.

@Mommaspoondani Hi, I know my hypo was caused by Hashimoto's, not iodine deficiency, but I believe the seamoss worked, in my case, more as a booster than regulater for iodine. Iodine helps in producing thyroid hormone. As for curability, I took seamoss for 2 weeks straight then stopped and did my labs. Everything came back normal. It's been 6 months off of meds (and seamoss, still have half a bottle worth of seamoss capsules that I havent needed) and I'm still at the normal range. I took levro for 5 years and nothing would get better. I really think my thyroid just needed that little boost. Super potent stuff. It's worth a shot and if you are concerned about taking too much iodine, take the seamoss for about 1 or 2 weeks then do some blood work specifically for your thyroid and iodine levels. I didn't have that problem but it's good to always be careful.

Hi, I cured my hypothyroidism with irish seamoss capsules and spirulina. I no longer have to take levrothyroxine or syntheroid. The seamoss is rich in iodine which boosts the production of thyroid hormone. You can get it online or at the GNC. I hope this helps. God bless you🙏 ✨️1 Peter 5:7 ✨️

So from personal experience, I had a medication issue happen at the hospital and caused hypothyroidism. Skip ahead 2 months going from 142 to 280lbs. I had to look at my diet; 3 large courses isnt the best option. I did 5 small courses looking at average calories/not exact due to anxiety and ocd causing stress. It took me now 4 years fulling to reach my 100lbs loss. Some of it was very healthily done; exercise/work in security(always moving), looked at if my food was perishable, if it is, sadly it’s usually the healthy or more expensive option. Some of the loss was due to stress and fear of judgement. Not all of my case is relatable, BUT I LOST THE WEIGHT. You definitely can too! I didn’t personally use dietary supplements, I did talk to my doc about vitamin supplements, I do also suggest talking to them for a thyroid count maybe to check the levels making sure they’re not wonky. I wish you the best, you got this ❤️ 🙏
