Auditory processing disorder (APD), also known as central auditory processing disorder, is a condition characterized by difficulty in hearing small sound differences in words. These people can understand perfectly the meaning of words. It may be caused after infections sucas meningitis, or lead poisoning, Multiple sclerosis could also cause it. Other causes include premature birth, head injury and genetic tendency.

Signs & symptoms
