Does anyone else with POTS frequently feel like their ears get plugged up, similarly to how they would on a plane ride? It gets almost unbearable when I’m in cars. It might not be related but it seems to appear along with flare ups of other POTS symptoms for me.

I’ve had issues with my ears my entire adult life. The ENT I saw gasped when she heard my TMJ, and the CT scan of my face (sinuses, nose, whatever it all was) showed my sinuses were messed up and my septum is deviated. She also told me I have oddly shaped inner ears which doesn’t let them drain well, whatever that means for it all, and really narrow Eustachian tubes. I can’t clear my ears to save my life when flying or scuba diving, and I’ve tried everything on top of taking Sudafed back in the day. Nowadays if I lay on one side on anything firm, it’s like my ear gets squished shut and clogged. My hearing is terrible, I have awful tinnitus which just keeps getting worse and worse, and every time I swallow my ears pops and feel like something inside is flexing, but they hardly ever clear. It’s like the pop you get when you do clear them, with zero relief. Ugh. On top of that I have constant sinus pressure which causes what my ENT called “nasal shiners” which is just dark circles under my eyes. She said my sinuses have so much pressure they’re literally bruising my eyes. I don’t know if it’s crappy genetics, EDS, or POTS, but it’s miserable with a capital M.

That just happened to me this morning I didn't know it had anything to do with pots. It was only in 1 ear when I woke up, and it didn't hurt.

Mine only recently started doing that. It started happening over the summer and only while in a car. But then again the place I was living at had a lot of hills and I heard somewhere that hills make your ears pop while driving.
