Seeking Diagnosis and Treatment for Auditory Processing Disorder

had a hearing test and was told there was some evidence of hearing loss but not enough to warrant a diagnosis of that. she told me she thought I have Auditory Processing Disorder and that makes sense and would describe alot of my problems. is there any point in seeking a diagnosis and is there any help or treatments available?

It's mostly just a way to get accommodations, but you could go to occupational therapy or similar so you can learn how to lessen background noise and other triggers that make it worse for you. However you might also be able to work out a lot of that stuff, without having to find a therapist for it if you cant do that easily, just from tips from others with auditory processing disorder

I have auditory processing disorder and I find it is only important to have a diagnosis if you are in school and want accommodations for it. Or maybe if you have a job that needs accommodations, a diagnosis would make sense.
