I highly recommend talking to your primary care provider to refer you to an intuitive eating dietician. I had a medical diagnosis of binge eating disorder. It was my incredible dietician and therapist introducing me to gentle, intuitive eating, that helped me heal my relationship with food. All without restricting (ie telling me NOT to eat certain things.) in the mean time, I highly recommend following diet.culture.rebel on Instagram, or dietician Hannah on Facebook. They discuss gentle ways to help curb binge urges. Oh, and foodfreedomfromdiebetes, her content does include diabetes related information, but she is also healing from binging and talks about how she's done it. Be gentle with yourself, be kind.

Some methods to stop binging include chewing gum and keeping yourself mentally busy. Practicing mindful eating, paying attention to when you're full, and avoiding distractions while eating can also help. Intuitive eating and asking yourself if you're actually hungry or just bored can be beneficial. Eating nutritious foods to feel more satisfied and understanding why you're eating can also aid in stopping binge eating. Distracting yourself, eating saturating foods, limiting how much food you eat, and limiting availability to food are other strategies. Drinking lots of water and chewing gum throughout the day can also help control urges to binge eat.
