Need advice on UTI treatment

Hi! Hope you're all doing okay. So I was wondering if someone could advise me on next steps. I've had a bad UTI for the past three weeks. I've had two prescribed courses of antibiotics - 2 a day for three days. It seemed to get more bearable at first but then got bad again. Has anyone had similar experiences?

I have a history of urinary tract infections. I now have another one which I've had for a week now. I went to the doctor and my test was negative. My culture was also negative. So I haven't been given antibiotics yet and it's become a waiting game now. I will be going back to the doctor soon and hopefully they find something so I can get my meds.

Hi all! I had kidney infection misdiagnosed as muscle pain in 2019 (worst doctor ever). I ended up staying three nights in the hospital a week later. Since then I’ve had chronic UTIs. I’m talking like 8+ a year… I feel like I’ve tried everything to help manage them and can’t get them under control. I had one this year that lasted over a month and I had to take 3 rounds of antibiotics. I currently see a few different doctors who have been very helpful but we haven’t pin pointed anything yet. Has Anyone Experienced UTIs Caused by Kidney Stones?

So I’ve had UTIs since becoming sexually active in 2013 and I only get them after having intercourse. I was put on macrobid and that helped with prevention up until 2021 then I started getting resistant. I was then put on methenamine, vit c and dmannos. When that didn’t work I got moved to estradiol. My doc is stumped because nothing has helped and with every UTI I’m resistant to more and more antibiotics. I also have 2 kidney stones and she referred me to a special doc to see if they are the cause. Has anyone experienced this where kidney stones have been the source of UTIs?
