Has anyone found any useful treatments of any kind to help with peripheral neuropathy? I had an EMG that came back normal. They're still thinking it could be small fiber neuropathy. I have an MRI scheduled, and there'll be a biopsy sometime after that. But I am in constant pain, which spikes to severe with pretty much any movement. Full legs, buttocks. Feet have been spared so far. But it's been spreading and getting worse for the last year. Gabapentin and ibuprofen are useless. I react badly to most new meds I try. Nortriptyline, starting with a super low dose is next to try. I don't have high hopes.

My hands are weak and it frustrates me. I get exhausted trying to open jars sometimes. Any hand exercises or something to build up grip strength? My small fiber neuropathy makes it really hard to feel how strong I’m grabbing or pulling something. I can’t gauge it at all. Does anybody else have this problem? It can effect my feet as well, and sometimes I will brake too hard while driving because I can’t tell how hard I’m pressing on the pedal. Oh! And I can’t wear normal shoes because they rip the skin off my feet and leave wounds that take weeks to heal. The scars are still there from when I tried sneakers. I always need flip flops or some super cushioned boots for winter. My small fiber neuropathy effects my feet and hands, does anyone know anything that could have manage these symptoms?

I get severe itching in hands and feet as soon as I try to sleep. I tried to avoid so many foods thinking it’s an allergy to someone, but nothing helped. Doctors prescribed antihistamines and these just put a bandage on the problem. I use Ice patches until I fall asleep.I wake up every night with numb arms and nothing have helped. Any recommendations? Thank you

I've been debating applying for disability lately. I looked it up and peripheral neuropathy is one of the conditions that qualify...but some days I feel like I'm overreacting or maybe just being dramatic....but then I have days like today where my feet literally feel like I have dipped them in lava. Anyone else apply for disability because of this? What was the outcome?

Has anyone been having trouble in getting their pain medication? I have been on Tramadol for a long time. Just recently my pharmacy has blocked me from getting the amount that the doctor has prescribed. I was able to get the amount prescribed during the pandemic with no problem. All of a sudden I am not allowed my prescribed amount.
