Has anyone found any useful treatments of any kind to help with peripheral neuropathy? I had an EMG that came back normal. They're still thinking it could be small fiber neuropathy. I have an MRI scheduled, and there'll be a biopsy sometime after that. But I am in constant pain, which spikes to severe with pretty much any movement. Full legs, buttocks. Feet have been spared so far. But it's been spreading and getting worse for the last year. Gabapentin and ibuprofen are useless. I react badly to most new meds I try. Nortriptyline, starting with a super low dose is next to try. I don't have high hopes.
hi, I'm new here, I have bipolar, fibromyalgia and peripheral neuropathy, I'm happy to talk about anyone with experience of these and just to talk to anyone struggling.
My hands are weak and it frustrates me. I get exhausted trying to open jars sometimes. Any hand exercises or something to build up grip strength? My small fiber neuropathy makes it really hard to feel how strong I’m grabbing or pulling something. I can’t gauge it at all. Does anybody else have this problem? It can effect my feet as well, and sometimes I will brake too hard while driving because I can’t tell how hard I’m pressing on the pedal. Oh! And I can’t wear normal shoes because they rip the skin off my feet and leave wounds that take weeks to heal. The scars are still there from when I tried sneakers. I always need flip flops or some super cushioned boots for winter. My small fiber neuropathy effects my feet and hands, does anyone know anything that could have manage these symptoms?
I get severe itching in hands and feet as soon as I try to sleep. I tried to avoid so many foods thinking it’s an allergy to someone, but nothing helped. Doctors prescribed antihistamines and these just put a bandage on the problem. I use Ice patches until I fall asleep.I wake up every night with numb arms and nothing have helped. Any recommendations? Thank you
I have neuropathy in my feet is there anyone else that has that that knows what they did about it The people tell me there’s nothing you can do for it .?
I've been debating applying for disability lately. I looked it up and peripheral neuropathy is one of the conditions that qualify...but some days I feel like I'm overreacting or maybe just being dramatic....but then I have days like today where my feet literally feel like I have dipped them in lava. Anyone else apply for disability because of this? What was the outcome?
Has anyone been having trouble in getting their pain medication? I have been on Tramadol for a long time. Just recently my pharmacy has blocked me from getting the amount that the doctor has prescribed. I was able to get the amount prescribed during the pandemic with no problem. All of a sudden I am not allowed my prescribed amount.

What do you do to Relieve the pain from peripheral neuropathy
I was on gabapentin but finally don’t take it anymore. Had treatment for the feet and now are much better but remain numb. Hands are not good and I constantly drop things. Any suggestions about what I can do to help my hands?
I have subacute combined degeneration of the nervous system in the spinal area which scarred my spine. It's been this way since 2018 I had to learn to walk all over again .Still have to use a walker and sit every 5 min. I have aches from my arms to my feet burning most of the time some days more than others . They say all this was caused by lack of b12 at the time. My body autoimmune on me. Said it could take years for my spine to recover. Now in the process I have diabetes and high BP. I take Gabapintain bacoflen and metformin. It's hard to exercise with limited mobility. I only eat 1400 calories a day and still maintain weight from the immune disorder. Any other pain remedies out there?
I have been to so many doctors in the past that I’m afraid to even try when one comes along and says they have the latest treatment. I feel like I’ve been there and done that. Any of you feel the same?
how do you deal with days where clothes hurt ?
Anyone here been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy?
What do you guys do for neuropathy relief? I’m having a really hard time finding resources.
Does peripheral neuropathy go away? I'm new to this so I'm curious. I'm not diabetic nor pre-diabetic. I looked up if this illness gets cured and google says it does after 6 months or a year. But how come there are people here in this app with the illness for more than 2 or 5 years now?
Trying this app out for the first time! I sometimes feel like my body is sort of vibrating? I was wondering if that's normal or not
Hello, last year, I had a stroke in the thalamus part of my brain and now I deal with constant nerve pain primarily in my hand and arm. I’m roughly 6 months in and I take a ton of Gabapentin to deal with the pain but it doesn’t help enough. Anyone have any thoughts on a medication or treatment I can switch to? Maybe Gabapentin isn’t the answer. I just need the pain to stop! 🥺
