One person shared that they have type 1 diabetes, **bipolar 2**, social anxiety disorder, and a couple other things. They mentioned that some days feel almost "normal" while others are overwhelming both physically and mentally. Therapy has helped them, and they try to take advantage of their "good" days by taking care of themselves. Another person with MDD and Anxiety found it difficult to go out with friends but has gotten better at it. They also mentioned that their friends are very understanding. A third person who has ADHD and is autistic mentioned that they and their boyfriend, who also has ADHD, have a lot in common and little judgement on the stuff they don't. They work things out when feelings get overwhelming, especially in miscommunication.
Seeking Connection After Years of Solitude
Based on the provided context, there is no specific information about bipolar two being a misdiagnosis of C-PTSD or related to narcissistic parent/parental overdose and severe psychological abuse. However, it is mentioned that PTSD and bipolar do share some symptoms but have distinct differences. Misdiagnosis can occur, as one person was initially diagnosed with chronic depression and generalized anxiety before being correctly diagnosed with **bipolar 2** and chronic PTSD.
Coping with Guilt from Hypomanic Episodes
I was diagnosed with BPD years ago but have since been rediagnosed as **bipolar 2**. I second DBT. I was never able to find a therapist so I just downloaded a workbook online and learned about it myself, and even that was so helpful for me and the loved ones I shared info with. There is a large set of skills that DBT teaches so there's sort of something for everyone. I also completely relate to thd feeling like you need to be sicker before you can get better. You start to see your mental illness as your whole identity when it becomes so rampant in your life. And then trying to get better feels like losing a huge chunk of yourself. Try to remind yourself that you are not your illness. And the real you deserves to live better.
I just joined this app but I was diagnosed with **bipolar 2** along with ADHD. First I hope you are in a better state of mind now as i see this was posted like a week ago
