Need advice on medical referrals for back pain

So the doctors referred me to physio which didn't work, tried everything but still didn't work.. they referred me to spinal team for injections or surgery but the spinal team has referred me back to physio... anyone ever had this? or know if they'll do something if physio don't work again?

Dealing with Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Disk Disease

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in my early 40's. I mainly had problems with pain and fatigue when I "over did it". I'm now 67 and it seems that after I hit 60, the fibro just went crazy and I now deal with pain and fatigue every day. Not to mention the Degenerative Disk Disease kicking in, as well. I work part-time at a dollar store cashiering mainly but have some stocking to do, too. By the time I get home, I can barely get out of the car and within 30 to 45 minutes I have to just lay down and let my body recoup. I'm fine as long as I keep moving, but once I stop, oh boy. I just start freezing up. Does anyone else deal with symptoms like this? What do you do to help relieve stiffness and body pain? Thanks.

Medicare Check-Up and Pain Management

Well 🙂 sure is a deep subject. It's very cold here in the south and hard on my spine bones. I have a well check up for Medicare tomorrow. Nothing will be done for my pain. I'll find out about my sinus infection and flu shot. The CDC gave new guidelines for pain medication yet it won't matter. Doing my best in this situation and hopefully y'all 🙏 will have a great day! I do vape nicotine, and I was wondering If this would stop me from getting my surgery. I stopped today to make sure, but I'm a little nervous that I won't be allowed to.

Dealing with a herniated disc in my lower spine

Hello! I am suffering with a herniated disc in my lower spine (L5-S1 to be specific) and it has been causing me lots of issues. I officially got diagnosed with this in April, but it has been bothering me since last December. it did get to the point where I could barely walk and had to go to the hospital before I knew what it was, and since then I have gotten 3 spinal injections and have gone to physical therapy. however, it is getting worse again and I was wondering what you guys do for pain? I wake up at night and can't walk for a long time, so I'm just trying to reach out :) thank you!

Update on my Neck Situation: Ouch!

hi friends update on the neck situation: owie :) I have ruptured either a disc or a rheumatoid nodule that was on my c spine. the right side of my neck and face/jaw are so swollen I can't move. took oxycodone and so far that's at least helped with the pain, both from this specific incident and in general, and I've gotten a good amount of sleep. TL;DR ouch :)

New Back Pain at Night

My back pain is new- I haven't been evaluated yet but one thing that sticks out about my back is it doesn't bother me until I lay down at night- then the pain get excruciating and radiates into my left hip and sometimes down my leg. I ice it, take advil and recently Gabapentin for it yet struggle all night sleeping because of the severe pain. Has anyone had similar back pain?

Recommendations for a good patch or brace for lower back pain?

Can anyone recommend a good patch or brace to wear on my lower back? I've been having a hard time doing any activities outside of the house, as resting areas are few and far between, and I need to run errands soon. I've tried many patches, but they don't stick well enough (even with the aid of medical tape). Are there any decent patches that stick in such an awkward place while walking? I've also used a brace in the past, but it was cheap and became worn very quickly. Any good brand suggestions? I appreciate any suggestions!
