Can Spine Issues Cause TMJ Symptoms?

Was wondering if my symptoms of slipped discs, messed up vertebrae in my spine and arm/back can have any effect on my jaw or give me tmj symptoms? I’ve been diagnosed with tmj as in 2012 , but it’s only come back recently when I get pain bad in my right side of my neck going down to my whole leg? Any advice? Thx 🙏🏻

Intra-oral cranio sacral therapy worked for me for years. Releasing the medial and lateral pterygoid muscles. I was a massage therapist for years and would definitely recommend this treatment. Find a practitioner in your state by searching the licensing board.

Thank you so much! I go to PT, and now a surgeon, but sometimes I forget to ask these questions as there’s so many. Hope you feel better too! Thx again 🙏

My TMJ flares when my neck gets bad. When I get regular massages to help release the muscles in my neck alone with really intense jaw massage it’ll let up. Definitely connected.
