I want to lose weight. I've cut sugar from my diet. My knee is at a stage 9 as far as pain. Can I lose weight if I can't walk or stand?

Yes, you (we) can. Low impact exercise like any movement in water is good to increase heart rate. There are hand bike type cardio exercises. Increase healthy protiens and reduce carbs (they convert to sugars and can be stored as fat). Portion control. Eating regularly and on a schedule the best you can and not skipping meals. It's better to eat 4-6 times a day in smaller portions or snacks than to eat once or twice a day. Have a physical. Sometimes thyroid levels can influence weight. Take Apple Cider Vinegar (with mother in it - unfiltered) daily. Just some thoughts
I'm going through the exact same thing. I can lose a few pounds here and there with changing diet but it's not enough to take the weight off my joints. I'm trying to find answers too. I pray we both get answers!
