how do you handle the anxious thoughts like your life isn't going anywhere?

Good question, I feel like I'm stuck in the same hole that I can't dig myself out of. It's a horrible place to be in especially when anxiety kicks in. I have alienated myself from everyone. It's so sad but ppl don't understand.

I want to try to journal. I like coloring books to get the thoughts to stay away. Or play some video games. Does anyone else play? I'd love to have some more people to interact with.

One way to handle anxious thoughts is by acknowledging the thought instead of pushing it away. Practicing "noting" can be helpful, which involves focusing on your breathing and gently saying "thinking" every time you have a thought, then returning to the breath. Another method is to occupy yourself constantly so your thoughts can't spiral out of control. If you start to think negatively, you could distract yourself with a favorite song or share your thoughts with someone who can provide reassurance.
