Does anyone else feel like their fibromyalgia makes their mild injuries feel worse than they really are? I feel on my shoulder the other day and my doctor said from my symptoms I possibly injured my AC joint, but we got an x-ray and it was perfectly normal. Just a slight sprain.

@Natdacat I know this feeling all too well.š

Definitely! If I bump my shin or my arm on anything I immediately bruise and radiate pain 15x the damage. Plus it stays with me for weeks šŖ

Has anyone found better all day relief?
@XanderiaJune Not a "one and done" solution, but cannabis has helped me the most, especially those with a 'body high'.
It makes all of my pain worse!
I literally feeling like a big walking black bruise. My body is so sensitive my husband can't even hold me at night! Even my kids hugs hurt which is devastating!
@Natdacat I feel the same way! Thankfully I'm single and live alone, but I can't cuddle my cat. She'll step on me and I wince in pain.

Yesss, my son and I will rough playing yesterday.. I was tickling him and heās super ticklish so he jumped and his elbow hit my jaw.. it wasnāt massively hard or anything but today that whole side of my face has been hurting extremely bad
@JustRachelle ooof! That sounds painful to begin with. How do you try to make the pain feel better?
I completely understand this. Even just āworking too hardā makes me hurt extra bad. Itās difficult to deal with because I donāt feel like in these situations Iām actually over working. My body just doesnāt handle physical labor well.
@acatalepsy me too! I don't feel I over worked yesterday, but I was in so much pain by the end of the night. All I did was clean and I was hurting.
100%. Everything hurts worse when you have fibromyalgia! š„“š„“
I have that problem as well. Even stubbing my toe seems to be more painful than for others. I try not to complain too much because my husband isn't very understanding. He thinks I'm just lazy or being a big baby.
@LSneiderwine I have that issues as well! In my most recent relationship, my ex always Said I complained too much and was too sensitive (this was before the diagnosis) and now that they know they feel bad and apologized lol I just wish people would treat us the same with vs without the diagnosis. I'm sorry he thinks you're lazy though. That is not the case, some things are just too hard!
I have that problem too. Headaches, abdominal pain, nausea, bumps and bruises ... all 10x more painful than the injury or condition causing it would make.
@ToriLehm im so glad you mentioned the nausea! Whenever I feel like I'm in a lot of pain I start to feel nauseous and as if I could through up. Has this feeling made you want to stop going to the doctor for injuries since they could just be minor but more painful due to the fibromyalgia?
@XanderiaJune yeah, tons. Iāve been getting these ridiculously painful migraines but I havenāt been wanting to talk to my doctor about them because there isnāt really much they can do. Between the chronic migraines and the fibromyalgia itās impossible to tell whatās causing it and I donāt want to feel like Iām wasting my time going there. Especially with how painful things can be now.
