Hello. I am new here. How do you know when your Fibromyalgia is getting worse?

Well personally if it seems worse in certain spots don't let the doctor slosh it off as just fibromyalgia have them x-ray and make sure nothing else is going on...I been struggling with hip pain (I had 7 babies) for like ever and finally my doctor took an x-ray I have bone spurs and arthritis in there as well as bursitis in both hips as well. Have bursitis in my shoulders but who knows about bone spurs and arthritis they have yet to x-ray them. It gets worse with the change of weather I started keeping a pain journal you can look up print outs or just get ideas for one and make your own, include meds taken when, how your pain levels were before and after and note when you start to feel it coming back on. What you ate and when. Bathroom habits, exercise/activities you did in the day (even if it's moved from bed to couch). Also include stressors in your day. And anything else you feel could maybe make things worse or better. Once you do this for awhile you can start to see diet instances that line up with other bad days or see other details are common on bad days, then you can begin to avoid said things and try and improve your health all around, plus this journal could also help your doctor see how they could help better. They only know what we say and idk how they figure out so quickly what med I need when they don't know what it's like outside the Dr office doors. I hope this helps 🤗 gentle hugs 🤗

For me, if my pain feels worse than normal, especially in my normal spot (my back), then I know it's getting worse.
