Just need to vent. Earlier this year my primary care physician made a referral for a rheumatologist. My understanding was that my pcp diagnosed me with lupus and the rheumatologist was going to treat said lupus. I’ve seen my rheumatologist and all of my blood results seem to indicate “a lupus picture” as she says, but she wants to try other things first, like b12 supplements and a sleep study and dermatologist, before pursuing lupus treatment. I understand not wanting to turn to the extreme immediately, but I’m worried about damage leaving things untreated (especially with my high sed rate and crp). Any words of encouragement or similar stories?

Hi!.. I would get a second opinion, try a different rheum. The first rheum i went too said I needed a sleep study too.. I had a second opinion and the new rheum didn’t understand why he was asking for a sleep study.
@Annye thanks! I was wondering that too
