I've been dissociating frequently due to anxiety and/or overstimulation since at least middle school but my symptoms have consistently been getting worse. It used to be that I'd just get a little fuzzy in crowded places like the mall but now anytime I leave the house I feel this way and everything gets hard to focus on. I have also had several episodes, including in the safety of my own room, where I have been staring at myself and nothing was computing as me. Like my hands didn't feel like my own when I moved them. I have also experienced this and derealization before but it's getting more intense. I'll move my fingers and feel them on my keyboard but it doesn't feel at all real. I can't focus half the time and my brain isn't able to keep up enough to react to things. I can't keep a job or get my driver's license because of it.

Well carry a fidget spinner in your pocket infact drown your pockets all of them with fidgets and keep grounded by playing with something different in your hand like a clicket fidget it clicks so you hear it and feel it so it's a win win unless you dislike the click it makes. There's all kinds of fidgets but it keeps you present and in the moment sometimes I will take a nap to try to rest off whatever was giving me anxiety but for the most part fidget spinners really or fidgets.

Same, though I didn’t know I was disassociating until it got so I bad I couldn’t really move. Using a grounding techniques (square breathing, 5 senses, etc.) should help if it’s ever just anxiety, but I know for me my dissociation is a response to muffle the pain I experience when I’m overstimulated, so when I use grounding techniques I start feeling that pain. For right now I just go somewhere dark and quiet let myself space out/play something to distract myself till it dies down, but I’ve gotten referred for pain meds to help with it. I haven’t started taking anything or found any posts about people doing that sort of thing so I’m not sure if/how it works, but it’s something you could look into
