I have very large and extremely painful cysts on my ovaries. However I also have extremely heavy periods and extremely painful cramping when I’m on a period. The bleeding gets so bad that sometimes I even have to have blood transfusions. My doctor wants to do a hysterectomy but I’m so scared! The instant menopause and I don’t even know what other complications there are are scaring me absolutely to death! Also I had went into the gynecologist to see if I was able to get my tubes untied because my new husband and I wanted to have a baby. We are both devastated over the news and so I’m not just concerned about the surgery I’m concerned about my husband. He doesn’t have any children and so scared I’m going to lose him because of this. I love home so much and I can’t imagine what I would do with out him. Has does anyone have any advice that could help with this?

@Furball1234 if you are not specifically predisposition to breast cancer, hormone replacement therapy works. Even soy products help alleviate hot flashes, etc.

I felt just like you I had a cysts rupture years ago it was very scary. I started taking birth control pills to help with the cysts because every time I ovulated I had cysts sometimes on both cysts. I started seeing a Chinese Acupuncturist and he helped me so much. I also started reading more and more about the female body and that help me.

If your husband loves you, and he takes his marriage commitment to you seriously, he’ll understand. If he leaves you for having a medically necessary procedure, then honey he ain’t the one. In sickness and in health, not just in health and convenience. If your periods are extremely painful and so heavy you are having blood TRANSFUSIONS giiiiirlllll that shit is scary as hell. You’ve gotta be bleeding a TON. That means every period you have is life threatening. I would get the hysterectomy. You’re going to go through menopause eventually, might as well get it over with and learn how to live your best life without this horrible pain and strain on your body.

@TheBigSpook thank you very much! My husband is very understanding I think honestly my fear is coming from my own insecurities. He has stuck by my side through a ton of medical problems. He’s wonderful. I think I’m truly just scared to death of the surgery

I personally am Struggling with pre menopause at 23 bc at the age of 17 they had to take out my left ovary. It def feels weird and can tell a difference in hormones. Praying they find a different solution these hot flashes are nothing to play about.

We have definitely talked about adoption and fostering as well and those are both in our plans. However I’m having a complete hysterectomy so I won’t have a uterus anymore and won’t be able to carry a a baby or even use a surrogate.

There are other ways to get pregnant and other ways to have kids(adopting is always an option)
