Has anyone had a full hysterectomy due to endometriosis like me?

My dr is discussing it. I'm 31 and the only thing stopping it is she doesn't want me to go through menopause yet.

I had one in March of this year. Pain is much better. Left my ovaries. I am glad I ended up doing that but recovery has been hard. But as of late I've been feeling much better.

I was in menopause for 7 months via injections and I swear to God, the hot flashes and moods swings were NOTHING compared to the heat pains and mood swings from my nerves being shot from pain. It was amazing. I have been talking to my doctor about getting a hysterectomy now

They're hellbent on preserving my fertility since I'm only 26 and have no children. My current treatment is continuous birth control. No period, no pain.

@2cee that’s good to know that, that’s working. Which pill are you on?

I’m thinking about it. I’m tired of the pain!!! Can some is you go into what menopause symptoms you had. And would you rather have menopause symptoms or endo?

@Lola808 my menopause symptoms are hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, overly hungry....and a few others. I would definitely rather go through this Than the endo. I had to have surgery every year until I finally was like , take it all out.

I had mine 2 years ago 1 week before my 34th birthday. I will say my pain is gone but this surgical induced menopause is no good . What's making you avoid it?

@BusyB I’ve talked briefly with my gyno about it, but this is the thing I’m worried about most, the surgical induced menopause.

@messgirl It sucks so bad, but hormone replacement does help.

My doctor wants me too, but I have been avoiding it for a few years.
