Has anyone had a hysterectomy and what age? I have bad endometriosis that has spread to my bladder and I have epilepsy and can have seizures triggered by my period. I’ve also had two ovarian cysts burst and have to take medication for my Endo and for bladder incontinence caused by Endo. I cannot have sex or insert a tampon. I want to get a hysterectomy and everyone seems to keep telling me that early menopause is worse than what I go through and that I’m going to want kids but no one seems to care that I’m struggling and no one listens to me when I say I’d rather adopt if I even wanted kids, which I don’t expect to do. I have never wanted kids and I have also wanted a hysterectomy since I was 16. I am now 21. Again, I don’t expect them to give me one because honestly even female OBGYN’s (if not more than males) seem to think that I will want to have kids and that I’ll ruin my life and body by doing this, but they don’t understand what I risk by not getting a hysterectomy. Any experiences with hysterectomies? Would you recommend it?
