Has Anyone Gotten Long Term Relief from a Hysterectomy?

I’ve had over 20 surgeries for Endometriosis including a partial oophorectomy. My last surgery was in September and recovery is taking longer while endo is growing back faster. I have tried lifestyle changes, diet modifications, different birth controls, but nothing has really helped. My cycles are deliberating. I’ve had to have blood infusion due to severe bleeding. This disease has caused severe depression and has been a major factor in developing fibromyalgia. In spite of pushing through my MBA, I can’t hold a job because of this pain and endometriosis. I’m leaning towards a hysterectomy. Has anyone gotten long term relief from having a hysterectomy? What has your experience been like after having one ?

Tbh I can't say yes because I've got sooo many other issues making me ill all the time. I would say I can sleep better at night and over my pain levels have gone down some to be a little more tolerable.

I only have my right ovary . I constantly have ruptured cysts too, so I’m not leaning towards keeping it , Did your hysterectomy improve the quantity of your life ?

I got a hysterectomy at 21 and it's been helpful. Granted my endometriosis isn't nearly as bad as yours. I know a hysterectomy isn't a cure for endometriosis, but at this point it sounds like the best option for you. Have u thought about whether u want to keep ur ovaries or not? I only ask because I kept mine. I had my hysterectomy a year ago.
