Hi! I have had hydrocephalus since I was 2 weeks old and have had 7 brain surgeries from it. My current valve is about 21 years old and 2 MRI’s in the past 6 months show that the valve is likely broken so the CSF is free flowing down the tubing. Has anyone had this happen and chose to get a new valve. All my previous surgeries have been emergencies and not a maintenance type surgery. I’m having a hard time convincing my self to go for it or not. Thanks!
