Long-term shunt use and new symptoms

I have managed pseudotumor cerebri since 2007 with an LP shunt. Recently I have started experiencing symptoms I related to high BP, but I'm starting to think something is wrong with my shunt. Hoping to speak with others who have similar experiences with long-term shunt use.

My LP shunt failed after about 4 years. Something in it broke and I had to have surgery to repair it. Could be that something in yours failed.

I don't have a shunt but I'm starting to lean towards going after it. I can't keep doing these LPs they're starting to hurt. Have you had to get it replaced before? My doctors say a lot of people have to get them replaced. Sorry you're having increasing pain again!

I've not had it replaced, no. 15 years almost with it without issues! I'm thinking it prob needs replaced now.
