Considering the situation I’m in, I’d literally sacrifice my ability to walk for a good support system. It’s that bad.

No, it is not wrong for you to feel that way. It is OK for you to feel however you feel about whatever is happening. Feelings are neither right or wrong, they just are. Having a poor support system makes things so much harder on people with chronic diseases. It's not quite the same as what you said, but I have often said, "I would give my left leg to be supported." Although, I am compelled to ask how would losing the ability to walk change the support system that you have? I am curious because me losing the ability to do everything I used to hasn't changed anything with how my support system (or more accurately, who I am forced to rely on) helps/supports me. They still expect me to do it all and do nothing to help, so it just doesn't get done because I can't afford to pay someone to do it for me.
