@Taylorf ok, if only 50 MG gave you palpitations, then like your doctor already knows, it's probably not right for you. Seroquel is a great med, but has the drawback of those palpitations. Definitely is probably not right for you, unless your doctor has not tried Seroquel xr. I'm just a patient and not a doctor, but I and my family read alot about this stuff. I have not tried Lexapro, so I can't comment. Are you a new patient?? If so, they probably have not found the right match for you. If you've only been on Lexapro a short time, sometimes it takes awhile to kick in.

On lexapro, recently tried welbutrin, and after that seroquil. The welbutrin made anxiety worce but made me enjoy food and sexual pleasure, other then that was still depressed. Seroquil i felt was helping me controll obsessive thoughts but it gave me irrgular heart palpatations. I am constantly worried im a psycopath or schizophrenic. All i want is to feel happy and feel like i care about people. Not feeling sucks and extreme anxiety where ur nervous system has trouble calming down sucks.

@Taylorf sometimes it takes the doctor awhile to come up with the perfect medication for you. They've switched me around several times to get it right. Seroquel works best for me. Although one time I had an episode and they increased it, it gave me heart palpitations. They had to back it down to 300 MG a day. I have read many times that higher doses of Seroquel xr, does not cause palpitations, therefore you can be on the correct dosage, without side affects. The xr is supposed to be good as it releases slowly through out the day, I am on conventional Seroquel right now, if I have to increase the dosage I will try xr, every body is different, UT Seroquel is the med for me. Make sure to discuss your experience with your doctor

i understand so much. the thing that triggers me the most is when people chew gum. what i’ve realized though is that you just have to acknowledge what is the trigger is and if you can, it’s okay to step away from it and take some deep breaths. you got this taylor!

Taylor, do you take anything for this? Years ago I had the same issues, the smallest things would bother me even more than big ones. For me, I was diagnosed as bipolar, and with gad. Since I've been on a med for 10 years my life has been MUCH Better. Other symptoms such as insomnia and anxiety have been eliminated by medication.
