I take Robaxin 500 mg with tramadol the Robaxin has very few side effects, better than flexiril for me.

I used to take the max dose of Gabapentin and Ultram supplemented with morphine. I'm now off all the pain meds although I occasionally take 300 MG of gabapentin. I still have pain like a constant allover sunburn. I realized my dependence on the drugs were causing some of the pain along with a few side effects. I tried Lyrica and found my self falling asleep in the middle of meals, etc. I would "come to" in random places in my house. I started sleep walking and woke up pouring perfume on the floor and squeezing foundation into the sink, slammed my hand into a doorway. It was scary so I stopped taking it. But it works for a lot of people, if you decide to take it, just start out at a low dose, increasing gradually. I started on a fairly high dose.

I take Cymbalta and 800 mg ibuprofen. Seeing a rheumatologist soon so I’m not sure what he will recommend so I really appreciate this post. I heard that Lyrica works well but to wait to take it until nothing else works.

I am taking Lyrica, and it works very well to prevent flares for me. But once I am IN a flare it doesn't help with pain. I don't have anything that helps with it then and OTC lidocaine only moves the pain scale minutely. Thank you kactus for mentioning fibro itch. I have recently been scratching my self almost raw - and could not figure out why.

I’m losing hope on the medication front. A lot of people like cyclobenzaprine but I hate it so much. In terms of pain relief It’s pretty minimal. The side effects are honestly horrible for me because I’m extremely sensitive to vertigo. They definitely do make you drowsy and dizzy. And not a good kind of drowsy that gets you a nice nap, the kind that forces you to lie awake in bed unable to walk around so you don’t fall.

Soma ...a muscle relaxer works the best by far and tramadol for pain is a win / lose some days it works others it has no effect. Gabapentin stopped working a long time ago I was on 2400mg a day on that.

I use cyclobenzaprine which is a muscle relaxer. So far a low dose takes a lot of my fibro pain away.

I was taking brand name Lyrica but medicare changed it to pregablin..it helps ,but brand name has just that one ingredient that took all my pain away. My fibromyalgia flare are disabling, and I have to take added pain medication with the pregablin. I also have 4 lumbar disc mild degenerative called spondylitis. I take pain medication but I'm concerned about having to take these medications for life and what they're to my mind and body.pregablin ,tramadol, celecoxib,

Thankyou for your experiences. The only thing I take right now is Venlafaxine and lorazepam but it doesn’t help with the pain. I take 2-4 ibuprofen almost everyday and take epsom salt baths when I can but it just takes the edge off of the pain.

Also i forgot to mention the nerve pain medications build a tolerance really fast so if you use gabapentin or lyrica it might work for a week or less before you feel you need a dose increase and its really a slippery slope

Things like gabapentin and lyrica work exceptionally well but i would NOT recommend it unless you have no other choice because the withdrawal can be severe and last for months. I had bad withdrawal symptoms between doses and stayed awake for 9 days straight when i stopped taking it. Muscle relaxers and opioids did not do much for me. I find that a low dose of adderall is helpful, especially for the brain fog and depression, but if you go too high on the adderall it can cause muscle or nerve pain and spasms in itself so its important to be careful

I have been on cimzia shots every month for about 7 months now and they help tremendously

I take Prozac and a hot tub. I cannot take any of the meds they usually give because of the side effects. Gabapentin was ok but just didn't work afterwhile. I am allergic to so many meds it is hard. So I just deal with it the best I can

I'm on lyrica and that really helps especially because i have fibro itch to the point where I'll dig into my skin and tear it to shreds. I have a scar tissue around my eye too and if i wasn't on lyrica I wouldn't be able to see

I have been on Gabapentin for a few months, and the effects have been minimal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They just started me on Cymbalta yesterday so we will see how that goes!
