Signs & symptoms

The symptoms of Meniere's disease usually include dizziness or vertigo (the sensation of spinning), hearing loss and tinnitus (a roaring, buzzing, or ringing sound in the ear). You might also feel fullness in the affected ear. Symptoms tend to come and go together

Your doctor will ask you regarding your symptoms and medical history. This is usually enough to make a diagnosis.
Some doctors will perform a hearing test to establish the extent of hearing loss caused by Meniere's disease. To rule out other diseases, a doctor also might request magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) scans of the brain.

Treatment

Meniere's disease does not have a cure yet, but your doctor might recommend some of the treatments below to help you cope with the condition:
*Medications
*Dietary and behavioral changes such as salt, caffeine and alcohol restriction
*Surgery- usually when other treatments failed
