What is it?

Testosterone is the male sex hormone, which is produced in the testicles. Low testosterone levels in the blood are diagnosed if there is less than 300 (ng/dL). Normally, there is a natural decline in testosterone after the age of 30. Low testosterone may be caused due to injury to the testes, chemotherapy, metabolic disorders, dysfunction of the pituitary gland, medications, alcohol abuse, liver cirrhosis, chronic kidney failure, HIV, inflammatory conditions, Kallman syndrome and many more.
