My Experience with Testosterone Replacement Therapy

27-year-old male born in 1995 got my testosterone checked back in 2020 after years of feeling like total garbage and not myself with pretty much all the symptoms of low testosterone... so surely nothing late 2020 I got it tested and it was $450 DGL total (now technically a general practitioner would consider that in the normal range but you're not really supposed to treat numbers you're supposed to treat the symptoms and I definitely had every single one of the symptoms of low testosterone). fast forward 1 year after that in late 2021 I got it tested again and it was even worse at 313 total so back in 2020 when the general practitioner said I was technically within the normal range he would not prescribe me testosterone. late 2021 I got in contact with a hormone clinic called matrix hormones and I tried a protocol of clomid and HCG to see if it would help Kickstart my testosterone production and all it did was increase my fertility and make me extremely emotional. so after a few months of that protocol I got back in contact with matrix and told him that protocol is not working so they switched me to testosterone cypionate 200 mg a week split between four injections (Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday)and 500 units of HCG a week split between two(Monday and Thursday I believe) injections ... for the first month and a half I felt absolutely amazing because it was part of the honeymoon phase and then eventually I started feeling like crap because my dosage is far too high. I got my blood work done after that initial protocol and my total testosterone was just shy of 1400 DGL total. they dialed me down to 160 mg a week and honestly I feel much better. I'm not overly happy that I'm this young and need testosterone replacement therapy but honestly I think it is made a very drastic improvement in the quality of my life and I'm finally myself again.
