Tips to Lower Heart Rate with Flu or Covid Symptoms

Need tips to lower HR. I think I’ve come down with flu or Covid and HR has sustained above 100 while laying down for over an hour. Trying to avoid ER so any tips would be great.

You could try elevating your head when laying down. If you have extra pillows just use at least 2 so you’re not laying completely flat. You can also try holding a cool rag or ice pack on the back of your neck as well. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated as well, I hope you feel better! 🤗

I find laying with my legs up helps the blood flow to my heart/brain, that way my heart isn't thinking it needs to beat so fast to get blood to my head - I sleep like this when I have a cold/virus/infection - it always really flares my pots. Hydration really is key too! I hope you feel much better soon 💕

Lay down and put your legs above your head!

Breathing in through nose for 4, hold breath for 7, and out through relaxed mouth for 8. This is proven to slow HR down. I often do it in public while avoiding an anxiety attack or passing out 😶

Lots of hydration, deep breathing, slow movement, and maybe some tea. Idk lowering heartrate is tough and it helps me to just stop looking at it so I worry less and have someone else check.
