Should I Discuss My High Heart Rate with My Doctor?

I’m not sure if I should discuss POTS with my doctor I’m not sure if this is what’s going on but my heart rate gets sort of high ( 108 to 110) when I sit down from walking. It can be the shortest distance and it still happens.. example: kitchen to bedroom. And also if I’m on my feet for more than a few minutes it does it then as well.. I’m not sure what the heart rate is because I haven’t checked standing up. With slight chest pain. This was also one of the reasons the hospital referred me to a cardiologist back in December. Cardiologist said everything was fine and to do a follow up in a year.. it’s almost for me to go back for my follow up.

For sure worth bringing it up!! Many fibro patients have it. There’s also a test you can do by yourself (google poor man’s tilt test) that can help you feel more confident you have it!! My cardiologist did the laying-sitting-standing HR/BP comparison and that was enough for the POTS diagnosis

My heart beat stays relatively high and raises quite easily from minor activity too I have fibromyalgia and my doctor thinks that may affect that he encouraged me to slowly increase my level activity to try and help with that and other symptoms

It never hurts to mention something regarding your health. More than likely, they'll take your heart rate laying/sitting/standing to see if there's a difference of at least 30, and if it should be looked into more! Wish you luck with it all <3
