Tired of having no one in my life to turn to when my depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD decides to ruin my everyday life and keeps me from going to work to make money to support my daughter and I. How do I explain what I’m going through mentally when I don’t even understand it? Medication obviously doesn’t work. Recommended ways to help my mental health, I tried and they didn’t help. I was never this person with depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD before 2 years ago. I just want to be normal again instead of struggling every morning to get to work and ending up losing the struggle. Back of my head all I’m thinking about when I should just focus on working - is my coworkers judging me and asking why am I missing so much work and not fired for it or some BS rumor like that smh.

I understand lovely 🥰 Remember your daughter adores you no matter what is wrong , and you have people here to talk to when you need . I’m the same , I can chat to my hubby when I’m feeling overwhelmed or just fed up , but he has the same reactions Everytime and says the same thing over and over again , which doesn’t help but I wouldn’t tell him that because that would make him feel useless 🤦‍♀️ I’d love to have someone to rant to and then rant back , share some funny stories , motivate eachother and build eachother up ! Meditation is a lovely idea if you can get the peace and quiet ❤️❤️

You are obviously a very strong person. You have reached out and that is half the battle. I feel your pain and understand much of how you feel. I know you don't know me, but feel free to reach out and chat anytime. I am always happy to just listen. My meds never worked and truthfully some sent me into a very dark place. They finally did a mouth swab for a test I think called genome or something like that. It gave a list of good, bad, and , don't try meds. It helped explain a lot and finally tried one of the meds on the best list and finally after years I feel more myself.

@HelpfulInformation Gene site testing! I'm trying to get things in the works for my son to have that. He has DMDD and is on 7 meds. So much changing and adjusting meds, I just want him to feel more himself and find something that helps him.

don't be so hard on yourself. If your mental health is keeping you home then stay home. I've been dealing with the same situation. My depression has gotten so bad I sleep alot I never leave the house, I stopped working in October. I have been dealing with this my whole life the older I get the worse I feel.but remember this saying Beautiful girl you can do hard things ❤️ we got to try everyday .I'll be thinking of you

Reading the responses made me cry that’s how much of a emotional wreck I am smh. I’ve been seeing a counselor been and trying cbt also but neither has helped me as of yet. I can’t afford a psychiatrist. My mind is too busy to do Mediation, I’ve tried to many times. I have no pets. I’m allergic to a lot of animals except dogs but I need a house dogs because where I live outside dog will get killed by another dog or stolen. So I would need a small house dog but they are all expensive and my ocd come in there and I start thinking I would just be annoyed at its poop and pee if I did have a house puppy even though they are adorable and I wouldn’t like leaving it home all day while I’m at work (if I make it there) and my daughter is at school. And that puppy will give me another reason to stay home in my head smh just because it’s so cute and I care and have a huge heart for anything living. I do the deep breathings but nothing seems to help. I have to wear masks at work cause it’s at a clinic and I have asthma since birth so it’s hard to breath with that mask and let alone deep breathing, it bothers my asthma than bothers my anxiety smh. Im just a freaking mess. I haven’t tried the aroma oils but will. I usually do the water and than I have lotions with scents but of course those annoying coworkers who say “what’s the strong smell” 🙄 I always want to say stfu! I would just love to have a remote job and have been applying but no luck yet. I love being at home even though it’s probably not healthy to be isolated but at the moment for my mental heal that’s what makes me feel safe and happy. Thank you all for your comments. ❤️

@Wowasake I know it's cold now, but being in nature is another thing that helps. As weird as it sounds, hugging a tree actually works. Someone recommended it, and I was very skeptical, but it's surprisingly helpful. When it's warmer, stepping out on the ground barefoot or sitting on the ground is also good. If you can't have an animal, maybe a plant? Taking care of a house plant is also therapeutic.

I understand what your going through. I can give you ideas to help with them. Taking deep breaths and slowing down. Maybe music might help calm you and help you focus. I have a few that run through my head when I am feeling thus way. Also when not at work maybe meditation might help. Also doing something you enjoy doing to take your mind out of that negative space. When I am at home I like to do something like crafts or drawing if able. Do you have pets? I have 3 and just petting them will bring me out of it. Water can help too...if your feeling this way break away and go to the bathroom...run your hands through water or splash your face. That helps me. Also smells help...aroma oils are good to keep on hand...put a little on your wrist and smell it when having these episodes. Just some ideas...

First, take 3 good deep breaths. When you exhale, imagine that you are blowing out all of your frustration. I wish I could give you a hug. We are here for you!! Would you consider a counselor?

Believe me when I say I understand. I have experienced it myself. And I have a son with mental health issues. So, for awhile it was either his issues or mine interfering. Therapy helped me. Psychiatrist and Cognitive behavioral therapy. Meditation, also. It's difficult and it's hard to know when it's going to hit you, but you will get through it. You aren't alone. ❤️
