I'm getting off my Lamictal because my mental health helpers don't think I'm bipolar and just have ptsd, my mania turned out to all be ptsd or normal human things. I'm getting off my Lamictal but I'm really scared because I'm down 100mg out of 400mg and all the depressive symptoms are coming back and I hate it. I can't get on a new need without going off the Lamictal but I hate these feelings, reminds me of before I started taking them which is a trigger in itself. this is really hard and I don't know what to do. please any help would be nice.

One user advised that if the medication is not helping, it's definitely time to reevaluate, even if that just means a change in meds. Another user shared their experience of getting off Lamictal cold turkey and mentioned that it was a difficult 4 months until their body adjusted. They experienced severe depression during this period. It's important to discuss these concerns with your therapist or psychiatrist.
