Hello my name is pha I have 3 boys and was very active until 7 yrs ago. Not sure what happened all I know is my right side of my body started to give out on me. Then it just goes numb and been staying that way off and and. I feel tingling constantly like it's about to wake up but it don't. It gives our on Mr I fall some days I can not even get up. Dr have not really diagnosed it so really don't have a name for it. Said it could be a severed nerve or Siactica nerve as well. I am struggling on a day to day basis to move some days. What are some test you all did with these systems that help figure out some things or give you relief?

I would sure think so. But in had many other external ultrasound and such that found nothing before. But not sure if it was just the right doc right time, or finally the right test to find it. May be worth a try!

Since my last daughter was born I have been experiencing this as well. Years of pain, doc accidentally found a tumor on my right ovary. I had surgery to have that removed as well as cysts and scar tissue January of 22 and have been in so much less pain. He said the tumor is usually painful and pushes on nerves. Definitely still not out of pain completely…. But improvement! It was initially found with an internal ultrasound looking for PCOS (which I also have) but then a second internal ultrasound but a specialist. Have you had any one look at your ovaries etc?

Something similar happened to me about a year ago. I woke up, and the entire left side of my body felt numb. I handle a few other inflammatory conditions that definitely exacerbated this as well. I’d recommend getting all of your inflammatory markers checked (via bloodwork) and your B12 levels. Before this experience, I had no idea B12 was linked to numbness / tingly. I’ve started doing weekly injections since this happened, and they’ve certainly helped.

I don’t think there is a test for it, you just have to have the symptoms and have a doctor who actually knows about it

Wow how can you check the occult then and follow up on a neurologist

At that point I’d ask to go to a neurologist as they will have better knowledge about how to treat it if it is pinched nerve based and should be able to test for other things than just a pinched nerve that would cause numbness on one side. Also maybe look into tethered cord or occult tethered cord, I know occult doesn’t normally show on imaging and can cause similar issues.

I understand that I have had all test done and nothing. They go by what I say because nothing shows up. I am constantly falling almost and can't see or stand long cause of it.

I have pinched nerves in my neck and lower back that cause burning pain all on my left side. The tests they used to find that out were X-rays that showed arthritis, a nerve conduction test/emg, and so far an mri of my lumbar spine. Honestly I’d like to get my whole body mri scanned at some point because with my connective tissue disease that would likely show a lot of my issues better and could show arthritis damage before it affects bone but insurance companies don’t like having to pay for that type of diagnostic test unless the less expensive tests come up positive even though X-rays won’t show damage as soon as mris do
