A few tips I've collected form myself and friends are: - drawing with non sharp tired markers on yourself instead - writing out what is making you feel bad and tearing up the paper you write it on - screaming into or punching or throwing around a pillow in an area you won't break things

To stop sh you can distract yourself instead of doing it such as playing a game, talking to someone you trust (if you have anyone)((if not this app is great for your feelings even if it's something silly!!)), taking a walk, taking a shower (this usually helps me!!), Getting into aromatherapy, sleeping (but this isn't the best option), or you can journal such as why you feel bad and how your day was. Another way to stop is by waiting each time before you sh and making the time longer and longer each time until you completely stop. Which is hard and I don't exactly suggest doing this but, yk it could work for you?? Here's some tips for long-term now!! -start channeling your feelings, It can be through art (which personally really helped me), journalling (helped me as well) or even -begin speaking more kindly of yourself, when the bad thoughts come and you think such as "I'm not good enough" instead change the thought into "I AM good enough" or "I'm so embarrassing" to "I'm just being myself" or something. Write about things about yourself that you appreciate even if it's miniscule. -also ask yourself these questions What are the situations where you are most likely to want to hurt yourself? (Probably avoid them at all means necessary) What are your fears about living without self-harm? What would you miss about self-harm? What else would be useful to understand about your self-harm? (I got these from a website so sorry if they aren't helpful) As well as these doing physical activity, aromatherapy and eating regular meals everyday can boost your mood and overall self esteem. Also remember, Sh isn't a quick fix to your issues it's just a temporary mechanism that doesn't help you at all or instead makes it all worse. A journey from it takes time and I wish you the best on yours. (If this doesn't help I'm truly sorry and I hope you find another way to cope with yourself)
