idk if anyone will get to this early enough, but i’m currently crying on my bathroom floor trying to resist the urge to cut myself and i rly don’t know how. bc i use sh as a way to calm myself down when i get rly bad like this and nothing else helps. and don’t say the meditating or breathing or journaling bullshit. bc ik it can help but once i get to this point there’s like nothing i can do

I have permanent scars from doing this in my teen years and now I deeply regret it. I understand that in the moment it can be the only thing you have control over when everything else in your life feels out of control. Although the relief from self harm is so short lived. Finding an alternative all depends on the reason you do it in the first place. The first thing to do is talk to someone you trust about it because it can feel very isolating trying to hide this from the world on your own. I’m here if you need me.
I find it helpful to scream and throw things. I got a dammit doll off the internet that is meant for slamming into things to release emotions.
