Is there any way (outside of regular medication) to stop a hypomanic episode? I developed bipolar pretty recently and this is my longest episode so far (excepting a months-long mixed episode). I’ve never disliked my hypomania before and saw it as a nice vacation from depression, even if I made some regrettable decisions, but now I’ve reached a point where I just want to go back to being tired all the time even if it means depression. I can’t slow down enough to do things I enjoy and I can’t take any meds with sedative effects bc of another med. I’m still able to sleep decently, but I have fatigue from physical issues and I just hate my body being tired when my mind can’t stop. I don’t have access to psychiatry at the moment (working on it).

"Exercise can help work out some of that manic energy. Tracking your manic symptoms day by day, getting as much sleep as possible, hydrating yourself, and engaging in as much self-care as possible even when you can’t or don’t want to, are also suggested methods to manage hypomanic episodes."
