Be very careful! Please just listen. I was the same way for a very long time. Almost like I was in some sort of a denial or a rebellion against the diabetes and so for years and years I did exactly what you're asking about. Then last year a lot of stuff caught up to me. Nobody can make you do anything so that's not what I'm trying to tell you but I didn't listen when people told me there were repercussions to neglecting insulin dependent diabetes. Neuropathy from the knee down to the toes with terrible pain, cataracts can develop early and I had those too so I was legally and functionally blind for nearly a year. Couldn't see to check my blood sugars or draw up insulin, was completely dependent upon my family to keep me alive and I reached a level of depression so low I thought I'd never come back out of it. I was blessed to get the cataracts removed and then my Depression started to turn around and I started taking better care of myself and I do still have problems but I have greatly improved. Unfortunately I know of several friends that have not been so lucky and now are no longer with us. If I could reach your heart I would do it to tell you from experience that taking care of yourself is the most important thing. Please consider

@Stargirl1989 Oh, don't forget kidney problems...severe infections that led to sepsis on 2 occasions

Oh yeah! I just love feeling like a massive lag all day. I like to enhance my already grumpy attitude, be useless with exhaustion and have brain fog like dementia. Fast forwarding in time and just going ahead and living it up as a grumpy old man yelling get off my lawn. Why do you do it?
