Is it normal for those who have been mentally abused from childhood to adulthood to become possessive/protective/territorial of things they own, especially if they are still healing and just got away from the people who traumatized them? Like is it normal to not like anyone to touch or move what's theirs or to be near it, to get nervous, cry, feel angry or begin pacing as if each item is a security blanket or something? It may sound like the start to hoarding but its not a lot of stuff and will never let that happen but does anyone else experience this? Could it be ptsd, severe anxiety?

"It could be related to trauma and the craving for control and order in your life and when things are moved it could be feeling violating to your personal space. It's also possible that it's an autism anxiety thing, which involves getting stressed and having a meltdown when things are changed from what you want like routines or in this case your belongings. Someone being in your personal space like that can feel quite stressful. However, there can be a lot of other explanations like a hormonal imbalance causing an overreactive emotional response."
