I am worried I will never be able to shut my brain off to enjoy life.

      I practice alot of meditation. Deep breathing meditation. I pick one word and I fill my belly with air then my lungs, and I hold it in for about 10 seconds, and repeat my word over and over. My word is "slow". It takes time. But I feel you would benefit from it.

      It is really hard for me as well. Sometimes I have to play a puzzle or word game on my phone to calm the buzz in my head down. I find "Killer Sudoku" and "WordScapes" work best for me. Also deep breathing exercises until my head spins works. Lol. I know it sounds funny but that's what works for me.
