My name is dior, I have hyperthyroidism and I’m sensitive to heat.. when I get close to heat I itch, also it makes me have anxiety, can’t sleep, and I forget stuff sometimes and get worried.. what to do when you around heat and can’t go no where cold?

@authenticdior I try to dress weather appropriate knowing how my condition effects me. I also drink lots of cold water. That helps to cool your body from the inside out. Staying hydrated also helps with palpitations and nausea.

@authenticdior ah sadly once you’re hot you can only do but so much. When you’re cold, you can do things to warm up. When you’re hot, your options dwindle. I don’t do a lot of things in fear I’ll over heat. Just try to stay next to a source of air, stay in areas that you know are cool, and don’t wear heavy clothing
@BumbleBees When I get hot I get nauseous, irritable, anxious, I hate it. So I understand what you’re going through
I try and fan myself off with my hands. If I’m able to I take layers off but otherwise just try and take it easy. I find when I’m hot any source of air flow tends to calm my nerves
