I have had bad days.. they consist of overwhelming feelings and emotions hitting me all at once.. or a flood of negative thoughts Rush into my mind.. when these things happen my body likes to go into what I call Red alert mode.. all my muscles get tense. I begin breathing to quickly (hyperventilating).. a cold chill rushes me followed by perfused sweat.then I get dizzy or black out.. Usually I can catch it before it gets to the hyperventilating stage now days I can anyway.. So I sit down in a chair or on the floor if a chair my feet are flat to the ground and hands on knees.. if on floor I sit criss cross apple sauce. hands on knees. this is called grounding myself..then I can get my breathing pattern slowed down.. in the meantime of calming down my mind is coaching itself.. thinking or saying out loud.. this is just a little speed bump, I am not dying.. I am okay.. this is going to pass quickly.. I am fine.. I am a beautiful person who is completely normal. I just have a complex way of thinking. My emotions are just more than most.. but I am fine.. God created me to be a happy person. worry and negative thoughts are just that, thoughts not a permanent part of life.. I then pray and thank God for helping me through the attack and I feel better and I meditate to stay calm..
