Living with Migraines: A Day in the Life

I have a really bad migraine. Along with my nausea and other illnesses, this is a nightmare of a day, and it's not even 10am. My skin hurts to touch, the sound of the cat playing feels like nails on a chalkboard, and the light coming through the blinds feels like I'm staring into the sun.

πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Firstly, you're definitely in my prayers! Secondly, when you said, "My skin hurts.....", I know I'm 🏑! I'm so grateful to have found this site! To know I'm somewhere where people can not SIMPLY EMPATHIZE with these struggles, or merely 'understand' them, so to speak; but, KNOW what these things feel like because they too experience them. πŸ’• I'm sorry you're having a day, & hope you feel better soon! Thank you for sharing we with us... with ME! πŸ€—πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ€—πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ€— #YOUGOTTHIS

I see that you also use Imitrex. My doctor allows ne to use it daily as a preventative. I still get them, but this way, they dont get ahead of me and Imitex will take them away in about an hour. There are times when it doesnt work all day, but that was POTS, cancer, and dysautonomia all on this current last 4 years. The relatively new eye movement/relaxation physical therapy helped trenendously and reduced the sudden 3x per day back to usually just 1x. Currently, still overloaded from the additional conditions, i have added 2 ibuprofen and 2 excedrin too. But this one morning dose will typically be good for the whole day & night. Might be worth a try. Insurance will only cover 9 tablets a month, but my pharmacy gives me a great price on the extras that i pay myself. Plus, i typically only need 25% or 33% of a 100mg tablet. So 50cents a day.
